Anika noni rose is an American actress and singer. Her most well-known character is Tiana the first Disney African American princess. In 2011, she was recognized as a Disney Legend. Rose is well known for her role as Lorrell Robinson in Dreamgirls. Anika Noni (born September 6, 1972) is a vocalist as well as an American actress. Most famously, she is known for playing Tiana the first Disney African-American princess as in The Princess and the Frog (2009). Disney Legend was bestowed upon her in 2011. The actress is also known for her role in the film Lorrell in Dreamgirls, which is an Academy Award winning film (2006) and LaVerne in Starz's Power. Apart from her acting skills, she's famous for the roles she performed in theater.
