Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada, an Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in several TV shows. Her birthplace was in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled her home country for the US and was granted refugee status to remain. Her middle sister was raised within Northern Virginia. Her career on air began with a string of National Commercials. Ghanizada received an honorary award for the role of Chiara, the main character in Laura Neri's 2004 film A Kiss on the Nose. Her television guest-starring roles include How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars The Wedding Bells NUMB3RS Bones Psych and Castle. The most recent role she has played is an appearance as a character in Blood Shot, (2009) - based on the science fiction movie Blood Shot and independent comedy You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada has been cast in The General Hospital spinoff General Hospital that aired on prime time television. As Dr. Saira Bhata, an expert in holistic health care on Night Shift's second season. Ghanizada played Kelly who was an actress on Prada Sales Girl on HBO Entourage in 2009 and was also part of the TV pilot Tough Trade by Weeds creator Jenji Kohn and the executive producer T Bone Burnett.
